History
Since 1991, I have concentrated on helping clients through the difficult and emotionally charged issues relating to Family Law; including Collaborative Law and Mediation, Divorce, Legal Separation, Child Custody and Visitation, Domestic Violence; Personal Injury and Business Litigation; as well as the drafting and interpretation of Contracts, Agreements and Wills and Trusts.
Clients
I have represented celebrity clients, high net worth clients, and clients with modest incomes. I have represented men, women, fathers, mothers and minor children.
Court
I have over twenty (20) years of experience in litigation, and well respected by judicial officers for my competence and integrity.
Understanding
I have been through a divorce myself, and know and understand what it is like to be a client. I have also had a custody arrangement of my eldest child, so I understand what it is like to be a parent of a child whose parents are not living together.
Backgroud and Education
I was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1959 and moved to Los Angeles, California in 1978. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University in 1986, and was a recipient of a Lewis A. Kingsley Scholarship. While employed full time, I studied law, evenings classes and summers, at the University of La Verne, College of Law, and earned my Juris Doctor Degree in 1990.
Organizations and Associations
I am a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and their family law sections and the Italian-American Lawyers Association.
Community Service
I perform many hours of pro bono service for the Los Angeles Superior Court - Central and Northwest (1994-Present).
I currently receive appointments by the Los Angeles Superior Court as Minor's Counsel in complex child custody and visitation cases .
I am active in local community affairs and founded the Challenger Division at Woodland Hills Sunrise Little League. The Challenger Division was first established by Little League in 1989 and offered at Woodland Hills Sunrise Little League this past Fall 2010 as an adaptive youth baseball program for children with special needs. This Spring 2011 marks the Challenger Division's Inaugural Spring Season at Woodland Hills Sunrise Little League.
As the current Challenger Division Coordinator, I am honored to serve as a member of the WHSLL Board of Directors, and have the ability to play a part in the growth of the Challenger Division in the West San Fernando Valley community.
